Going to DC, put a stop for electrify in Arundel mill MD to charge, they have construction ongoing nearby and put a yellow tape which covered the electrify charger, all 8 of them . Itâs right at the end, I should be able to park behind the charger and should still be able to charge but the security wonât let me. Urrrggh. Fortunately the next electrify charger is only 5 minutes away at Target Glen Burnie.
I have tried several times to use the 350kw and for whatever reason my EQS just does not like it! Works fine on 150 though.
How does the plug & charge work for bmw? I was in a rush to get out of the dealership before traffic and didnât ask
One plug down, Lucid in the first spot idling at 100% while 2 cars waiting. Eventually, Lucid car alarm goes off and at that point driver gets out of car, disconnects and drives away. Perhaps he fell asleep?
Show up, 1 out of 3 unavailable. Woman leaves, after she pulls out her charger now has a black screen and the card reader says network unavailable, support reboot doesnât work, now only 2 out of 4 are working.
The other 2 cars are a Bolt and a Mini SE that are both charged to 100%, the bolt at 100% for 20 minutes, the Mini at 100% for 30 minutes, collecting idle fees.
At that point, with 2/4 chargers broken, and the other 2 being occupied by inconsiderate people who have been at 100% for 20 + minutes, do you:
- Unplug the cars at 100% and charge
- Leave it alone
Is the charger locked?
Yeah, if the cars are already fully charged, I wouldnât hesitate to unplug them and start a new session with your vehicle (using your billing info). Itâs always worth checking to see if the vehicle charging has an EV charger port locked as OEMâs were inconsistent in their implementation of the EV charger locks. From my perspective, all these EV charging ports should automatically unlock at 100% SoC, 80% set point (e.g. Tesla can control max DC charge SoC to stop charging), or by the ownerâs app to allow being unlocked remotely. Itâs just common knowledge in the early days of EV that this âcommunity chargingâ feature of unlocking charge ports in public charging stations was a best practice. Unfortunately lost these days with no standardization of the EV charging port locks and their behavior.
Depends on your SOC and next closest charger. But generally this is a reason I like plugs on both sides.
Anyone here use the EA charger near JFk, are there usually long wait times?
Same thing happened for me when I was charging my Taycan. I was pulling around 175.
Iâve got to make a roadtrip from CT to Pittsburgh to visit my ailing father and central PA is an EVgo desert, so looks like Iâll need to try ElectrifyAmerica to recharge the Ariya.
Are there any promos (AAA, etcâŚ) or similar discounting programs available?
Iâll have to do the math to confirm, but guessing buying Pass+ for one month will probably save me a couple bucks.
If thereâs one instance in your life where you rent or borrow an ICEV to avoid recharging this is it.
A tow truck pulled up to the EA station with a Hummer EV that completely ran out of power. The Hummer is wrapped in camo and has horns on the hood.
wonder how long the wrecker waited for an open slot.
So did they able to charge it? Why didnât they unload the car first?
I hope all is well with your father.
I hear that and immediately think of the Clarkson Porsche story.
Make sure when you get to see your father the chicken is still warm
It recharged on the flat bed? The entire time?
