Does leasing 2 vehicles = bargaining power?

I’m in the market to lease a new SUV, meanwhile my dad is also in the market. Even though they’d be separate transactions, I’d imagine the prospect of moving 2 cars off the lot would incentivize the dealer to a higher discount.

Anyone have experience with that?
(We’re looking at Alfa Stelvio’s, located in FL)

I don’t have experience, but I’d imagine you’d get a nice deal of bargaining power.

My advice: do not tell them you’re looking for 2. Get the absolute lowest price you can get on one, and only then tell them you want 2, and get them both for even less. Try $50/month (just throwing that number out) off on each and work from there.

I was almost in the same boat, I got a Jeep GC about 6 weeks ago, and now my father wants one bc his lease is up. Too bad we couldn’t get 2 at once!

@Cody_Carter ( Toyota dealer) and I think some other dealers answered this and they said no. They said they already give the lowest price they can do they can’t go lower.

In my personal experience, I was negotiating on two Mercedes with one dealer. On one car he was giving an amazing price but a mediocre price on another. When I told him I will only take one he said all or none so I said no. Ultimately got the same cars at two different dealers with better.
It was kind of strange how the initial dealer handled it.

I guess it depends on the dealer. I max the discounts right off the bat so it doesn’t affect if you add a second car to the deal.

But maybe for others that run their business different it might help a tiny bit but nothing major.

Fl alfa dealers think they’re selling rare Ferraris, won’t make a difference.

In some cases, multiple vehicles would reduce your bargaining power. They might be willing to take a loss to make a sale on one, but not two cars.
