Does it make sense? Grand Cherokee L LIMITED 4X4

,

So I got few quotes for Grand Cherokee L LIMITED 4X4

one dealership wanted 870/month w/ 1500 cash down

another one 748/month w/ 2748 at drive off

another one 722/month w/ 2000 at drive off

another one 860/month w/ 940 at sign off

and another one 710/month w/ 2000 at drive off

Then, I got this one:

  • Monthly Payment: $599
  • Term: 36 months
  • Mileage Allowance: 12,000 miles/year
  • Due at Signing: $0 down

And I’m asking: is it make sense??
599 / month with $0 at sign off?? (only first month which is 599)

Is it too good to be truth ?
Am I’m missing something ??
The MSRP on this car is $57,360

Dealer Discount -$3,000
other discounts: -$2,823 , -$1,000

But my question is if it’s really too good to be truth or there’s a catch which I’m not aware …

Impossible for us to know. What incentives do you qualify for and take your best attempt at building out the calculator.

they gave me some b-s, for example: “we have loyalty which you qualify for and aggressive programs and incentives overall for the month of June.” , which sounds as a b-s because in all the other dealerships no one mentioned I have a loyalty incentive.

Like, I told all of them about my beautiful, dress in Red, Dodge Durango 2022, GT AWD (which the lease expires soon). And no one said I have a loyalty because of this

I don’t know. something not coming together here.

either all the other quotes I got are too high, or I don’t know how come this dealership can get such a low price on a $57,360 MSRP car

If you think it’s a great deal and you don’t want to put in the work to independently validate the deal then just tell them you’re ready to sign and to send you a draft contract to review. Once you have reviewed you’ll come into sign or you can sign remotely if they will let you.

If the program is the same as last month and it’s really 0 DAS it’s a good deal.

This is my concern. How come it’s too good - is there any “catch” that I missing here? It’s ~$6k lower than all the other quotes I got.
Is it possible the car has issue and the dealership wants to get rid? for example. I don’t know

Therefore asked here

I doubt there is an issue with the vehicle. With the discounts you listed I don’t see how they get to $599 a month, which in itself is a suspect payment. Are you sure you don’t need to add taxes, tags and fees?

There’s nothing that great about that deal. I mean you can get a Palluride or CX90 PHEV for less.

I’d rather have the Jeep than a Kia/hyundai.

Apparently the web representative gave me the regular BS and didn’t include taxes. With taxes it 705/month w/ total $2000 at drive off which makes sense

Long story short - the web representative gave me (the regular) BS, she “forgot” to include taxes

after quick negotiation w/ the real sales person from the dealership he gave me $705 & total $2k at drive off. Fair. Not amazing. (3 yrs ago I paid on the Durango ~ $1500 at drive off & 700/month)

Bonus point: the beautiful Grand Cherokee dress in Red. Which for me is always a plus.

To be honest, this time I was planning / hoping to get back to Cadillac and wanted xt6 Premium Luxury AWD - which became very expensive. Not sure why this NON Escalade SUV cost ~800-900 / month. Not that impressive. Still a Cadillac. Until was finally able to find xt6 Premium luxury at 700/month & 2k at drive off it had only 6 seats (I need 7 ..)

if not Cadillac I wanted the Traverse - also crazy expensive. The cheapest I got was LT AWD 720/month & 2k at drive off - not think worth it.

So end up taking the beautiful, Dress in Red, Grand Cherokee Limited

I was looking into a similar car. Called a friend at a dealer in Ohio and quoted me 499 sign and with first payment on same car. Don’t have all details on discount and incentives but could give you a comparison.

You can’t really base your prices based on quotes you asked for and received. When you ask for a quote, they are going to give you a BS number that’s all profit for the dealer in hopes you say yes, not the types of deals you see here.

Have you checked Marketplace to see what the cars on your list would cost if using a broker?

I had one of these as a rental vehicle over the weekend. It was much nicer than the 2-row JGC 4xe that I turned in last month. The 6-cylinder is much smoother than the hybrid power train when not running mostly electric. I would not pay $700 a month for one, so maybe wait until the incentives get a little better?
