Dodge Hornet R/T EAWD Lease question?

Hey Guys in South Florida here. I am looking at a Dodge hornet RT mainly because I need a decent hybrid vehicle for commuting, the dealer is trying to get me to lease here is what they offered right now. But I really feel like with it taking an average of a year to sell one of these Dodge really needs to bring the prices down. I wanted to know has anyone gotten one in the low 300’s with no money down?

dealers offer:
$2,150 down
36 months
10k miles per year
$408 per month
Black Hornet R/T Plus 10k mile lease/36 months (MSRP: $51,585)
Residual: 54%
Money Factor: .00018

I really need 12k miles a year and wanted to do 0 down at signing but if this is the best they can do at 408 with 2k down I dont see that ever happening? anybody gotten better deals on these? with Tier 1 Credit.

What is the discount off of the MSRP? Can you try your hand at the LH calculator?

Better deals were a function of better incentives. I liked my hornet but you’re paying about double of what I paid per month.

Hyundai Tuscon or Mazda PHEV can be had for similar payment and you get more room and a nicer experience. Or perhaps leasing and then buying out a rav4 prime.

Take a look in the Marketplace and see what’s possible. @AutoNinjas has some strong FL deals on hybrids Auto Ninjas Specials - Southeast October 2024 - Google Sheets

wow double? how did you get your deal? thats amazing

If you click on Signed Deals & Tips youll see deals like the recent Mazda CX70 PHEV lease which look more appealing.

Alternatively over 5-6 years your net spend will be lowest on a purchased Camry LE based on its resale value and efficiency rated at 51 MPG

The biggest driver of my $214 a month Hornet deal was a $4500 conquest rebate back in the spring.

Agree with @max_g here. If you’re flexible there are many cheaper and better options.

I currently have a Jeep Compass with a lease that’s about to expire. I want to avoid the disposition fee, and since the Compass is a bit banged up, they usually forgive that if you lease the same brand. I also need a hybrid because I drive far for work now. Any help with negotiating this further would be appreciated

Bite the bullet and get out of the CCAP stranglehold.

What’s the point of leasing (spending more to cycle through new cars more quickly than longer term ownership) if you’re beholden to one car company forever?

This is nearly the cost of a cheap CPO Bolt (not including the $4,000 possible credit). That would get you a much cheaper commute as the Hornet gets pretty terrible efficiency (especially once the engine turns on) for a PHEV.

These numbers don’t make sense. Your lease cost is >$16k.

Msrp is $51k
Residual is $51500*.54=$27,810.00
31000- 28000 is far off of $16000.

Sorry that’s what they quoted me. I walked away because none of it made sense to me. I just wish I could speak to someone who got a good deal on one, I keep reading people getting rat version for under 400/mo
