Do we really get this wagon?

Huge RS6 fan, but power is a little lower than expected, and I hate the styling of the rear diffuser.

*checks 401k.

Yep, still nowhere near enough and there’s no conceivable, possible, way that this will be leasable for less than a decent mortgage payment

*goes back to dreaming of sporty wagons

Almost like a badly executed porn ‘stache, no?

Is that even the real diffuser? I would’ve assumed that the diffuser was (mainly) the mesh like thing beneath the trim and that the protruding trim was specifically made to be prominent and obnoxious. But who knows? Not too many high-performance wagons to compare it to.

Maybe you could get one off-lease and add an extended warranty? I imagine depreciation might be pretty steep.

An Audi salesperson I worked with previously told me last summer the president of Audi USA confirmed it would be coming to the states so I asked to have my name put on a waitlist. If all goes as planned, I suspect I’d get an early allocation.

Now that I know more about leasing, this car will lease horribly most likely. Who knows, maybe I’ll just buy the damn thing.

teeeempting but no. I’ve run a crappy A3 off warranty before and that was painful enough. I cannot even begin to imagine what this’d be like. The comments on that article guestimate an MSRP of around $115k with some bits and bobs for typical Audi options which I think is probably fairly accurate. So what do we think this’ll be off lease? $55k?

Somewhere around there, close enough. The annual maintenance/repair/consumable cost will probably rival or exceed the note, even a zero down note.

gaaah. So it’s just the RS6? We aren’t getting a regular A6 Avant?

Agreed.

I had read in other auto mags that we are getting the RS6 Avant; I haven’t seen anything about the regular Avant. Prob a smart idea; btw the E400, V90, and XF, I can’t imagine there are any buyers left…

It hasn’t been announced but the A6 Allroad is coming, too.

Let’s just go halvsies on it. We will split custody of it 6 months out of the year, haha.

Maintenance shouldn’t be an issue if you add Audi Care. Tires will be a massive expense however.

The hypothetical was off-lease. Can you add Audi care to a pre-owned car?

Audi did a lovely ad that really captures the feeling:

I imagine it’s no diff than adding the maintenance package to a pre owned bmw.

I’m a typical American anti-wagon guy, but that thing is really nice!

A little more RS6 Avant porn.

Young Audi salesman said they were only bringing 500 here and they would be 180k. Took a lot for me not to laugh in his face.
