Do VW leases come with GAP insurance?

Do VW leases (ID.4 in this case) come with GAP insurance?

And does it pay out the lessee on large down payments in the event of a loss?

I think all leases comes w/ GAP, except for ones from Toyota (and Mazda, since they use Toyota’s bank).

If you make a large down payment, you are effectively providing the GAP coverage, and filing a claim against yourself is going to be a zero-sum game.
