Do not bank with US Bank

Hopefully this is helpful to some who came across the popular slickdeal promo for keeping $5,000 for 60 days and receive $500

Spent one hour with a USBank rep and transferred to managers

Valid deposit $5,000
50 days later -$6 “analysis fee”
Reason no e-statement
Me “but I never receive a paper statement”
US Bank rep “oh there wasn’t activity but now with the -$6 you will receive a paper statement in September”

Unqualified due to balance falling below $5,000

Comments are pouring in on the SD forum with same issue either promo not received or coming across the same issue. Don’t bank with them.

Sure a simple $6 above can resolve (maybe) the issue but reports are coming in no one has received the bonus.

You haven’t done a bank account bonus yet? Surprised since you’re the lead degenerate of LH lol

ive done em all
it makes 0 sense to open a bank account for measly 300 dollars

Meanwhile I have been churning bonuses with them for a long time. They are actually one of the reliable ones, unlike Citi.

Look at moneybags here. Most accounts are like 300 lol

Citi is the only bank who has been 100% on new money bonuses for me. Every other offer goes in the shredder where it belongs.

I had a Citi one where I had to submit a cfpb complaint that got it resolved in my favor. Once I had the contact info for the Exec Response Unit I was only then able to get a savings bonus paid. It was uphill on those two…I did sign up fir a Citi Premier card for the 100,000 points.

Three times: I deposited exactly the amount for the bonus with them, $1000 in checking rest in savings, on the 91st day (3 months iirc) the bonus is deposited. I walk into my local citi branch, both accounts were closed and I walked out with a cashiers check in 5 mins, plus a couple hundred in savings interest. Last one IIRC the “$1500 bonus” was almost $1900 when I took my money elsewhere.

Churning what? Checking account bonuses? Under assumed names?

“Offer is not valid if you or any signer on the new business checking account have an existing U.S. Bank Business Checking account or had a U.S. Bank Business Checking account in the last 24 months.”

" Offer is not valid if you or any signer on the account has an existing U.S. Bank consumer checking account, had a U.S. Bank consumer checking account in the last six months, or received other U.S. Bank bonus offers within the past 24 months (limit 1 bonus per customer)."

There would be no churning if T&Cs were all binding and worked perfectly. You are gonna quote the Chase 24 month language to me next lol.

Right because it’s very hard for Chase and USB to match a name and SS/EIN number, and i’m sure it’s all legit.

Can you please share the SD link?

Ok… so no banking with US Bank, but what about leasing with US Bank? :stuck_out_tongue:
