Just got a call from my neice, her honda crv 200K miles, is needing tooo many repairs so I was wondering if any hackers in the Phoenix area have any recent history of a lease deal for a small 4 door sedan. She is not particular at all to brand or color, options etc. She can afford around 125 month payment on a 15/36 or 15/24. I will do the legwork and was just looking for suggestions, thanks.
Check out a 2017 Cruze LT, she may be around there; maybe around $150/month. Just search the forum and look at the marketplace.
Will she be able to afford the difference in insurance, assuming she currently has liability only?
good point, did not think of that, she is a single mom but good driving record and 32 yrs old.
Insurance on a (1) leased car vs (2) car that is financed vs (3) car you own outright are very different. Leasing and Finance companies have minimums that need to be met AND the new insurance will be based on the MSRP of the new car which will probably be at least 2-3x of a 200k mile CRV. On the other hand, a sedan may have lower rates. See if you can call the insurance company for scenarios so you know the total additional $ you need to come up per month including insurance
Thanks, I will have her do that, being new the leasing game all of you are great source of helpful info and it is appreciated.
