Did I get a good lease deal? Hyundai Tucson 2021 AWD

That might had been the discount/incentive

$27,348.08 agreed upon price
$861.65 sales tax
$650 acq. fee

p.s. the MSRP sticker from the MFG was legit $28K+ on this car. I don’t have the sticker right now, but I remember the price it had.

Ok, so you got $800 off, or about 2.5%, assuming the mf checks out. You’d need to compare against other deals to see how that ranks, but I’m betting that’s very low.

On the bright side, you should be able to get $250 as a post sale rebate from Allstate.bonusdrive.com

Quick and dirty LHC:

Hard to get more granular w/o contract

Yeah I threw the numbers in there. It came out to $332/m. What numbers on the contract did I leave off?

Not collecting all the DAS money is another form of discount… hard to tell at this point if it came directly out of the dealer’s pocket or something like flex cash from the OEM, but safe to assume it was something discretionary the OP got.

mllcb42,

this is great thank you so much!
I don’t have allstate though, is that OK?
also, i don’t understand, what is the fine print here?

Yup, you’re fine. It’s a rebate through Hyundai, all legit. I got my check from them for my palisade. No need to be an Allstate member.

Without seeing the contract, it could just be a misunderstanding of what’s on there as well.

Here is my math from the contract:
Depreciation and amortized amounts:
$9,697.55 -(minus) Total of your monthly payments is $11,592
=(equals) -$1,894.45

  • -$245.65 Title and Registration for first year of lease
  • +$1,750 Capitalized cost reduction(incentive)
  • -$650 acquisition Fee
  • -DOC FEE 595 / TIRE FEE 7.50: $602.50
    --ELECTRONIC REG CHARGE: $6.15
  • -License Fee: $239.50
  • +Amount to be paid in cash: $1,170.15(i did not pay this)
    = -$718.10

I didn’t put any money down.
I don’t know what this line means either “Rent Charge: $1894.35”
Maybe my depreciation was a bit high 3%? for 760 credit.

Again, i don’t know what i’m doing, but the only Constant here that I could have changed was Negotiated a discount off of MSRP like you guys said.

Maybe the rebates/special programs for this car were garbage as well?

Do you really think I could have gotten this for $75 cheaper?!

@mllcb42

This was all you paid at signing, correct?

yessir, first month’s lease payment. 35 to go.

Rent charge probably means Money Factor, or the interest
Paid in Cash probably means incentive
But I do think you could have discounted $3,000 off of the Tucson

Don’t NJ tax off of payment?

Is that “$3,000” in addition to the $1750 I got or $3,000-$1,750?
that would have been -11% off of the MSRP. That’s good to know. (On a 2021 vehicle though, I wish they had 2020 left. :frowning: ).

If you can sell 2021 Tucsons for sub $250 all-in in the northeast, you should move here.

This post makes very little sense to me. Since you already signed, enjoy your new ride!

This is the result of the MF. Without knowing what buy rate MF is, we can’t say if they marked it up or if this is too high or not.
