Denver, CO leasing deals

I have been leasing for quite a while now, but totally new to this forum, here is the situation I am in, and any help would be highly appreciated:

Currently, I have a 2016 Hyundai Genesis (Base, RWD) that I leased in August 2016. I think I scored a great deal at that time ($299/month, 36 months,12k/month) as they were trying to get rid of 2016s before they rolled out G80s and G90s. Because of the negative equity from my 2015 Sonata, I have been paying $400/month. At this point, I have about $23500 miles on Genesis and I really need to get rid of it (to lower my payments). I see that GMC and Chevy were offering great deals until April 2 and I totally missed out on it. From my understanding, my best bet would be to trade in my Genesis for ANY car with a lower payment. Also, I reside near Denver, Colorado, and most of the posts on this forum are for CA, NYC, NJ, MA, FL and TX regions. I need advice/help on the following:

  1. Should I trade in my car now to lower down my payment?
  2. What car should I go for? Which company is offering the best deals this month? I have a discount code from a friend work for GM, so thinking GMC/Chevy but open to suggestions.
  3. Is anyone on this forum known a dealer/broker in Colorado who might be able to help?

Thanks a lot everyone, and I would really appreciate your help.

You need to find out your buyout price vs it’s current value. There’s no guarantee you would find a deal with a lower payment if your negative equity is huge.

RV = 21000
Buyout Price = 28000

No offense, but you’re screwed. You need to keep the genesis. If you roll 7 grand of negative equity into a lease it will be ugly.

RV is not the current value. You need to check KBB for an estimate or take it to CarMax to get appraised.

Current value per KBB is 21k - 23k

Yeah, I kind of figured, oh well.
