It’s not meant for everyone

Isn’t that fraud?

Surely the contract and reality will not be aligned. Feels funny, to be certain.

No they are not “dialing” back the mileage. The customer will have 13,900 miles to use. The dealership structured it this way to get a better rate

Yeah but the contract is incorrect. The mileage isn’t 999 its 2100

I didn’t make up this term. This Audi dealership did

If it was me, and I realize it ain’t, I’d put the title at 4,633 miles instead of 5k. That’s the truth, not fuzzy and odd.

And you are the one advertising it… not the Audi dealer. (I’m 100% sure, they wouldn’t put that line in their own advertisement)

In NY you can make misrepresentations in advertisements?

Guessing it’s a private owner who got in over there head on the car. The dealer is going to make it look like a loaner so they don’t get stuck with the car, Hence the mileage discrprency. Either way good luck to the person who jumps on this.

Why would a dealer be “stuck” with a car if the owner got in over their head?

Seems like the owner’s problem in that scenario, not the dealer’s, no?

Because people who regularly pay $2250/month, plus 10K at signing, generally go on Leasehackr looking for good/discounted deals on car leases…Let me know how that goes for you.

The major problem with the misrepresentation is that you’re paying 2,250 a month to use a car with a 1,100 mile disadvantage. 10 percent of the alotted contractual mileage has already been used before even taking delivery.

By stating 999 on the contract, does the lease program change than if it said 2100? Does this mean Audi won’t lease an R8 demo with more than 1k miles on the clock? The 999 seems oddly specific.

What it means is that whoever is selling this car is misrepresenting the mileage to Audi financial services in order to get a better lease. If Audi found out about this the dealer would suffer serious consequences

Which by the dealer frame if I do 90% sure I know who the dealer is

Which by the dealer afraid if I do 90% sure I know who the dealer is
