Delete: 2023 Tesla Model 3, 270mile range, white car ($178/month, $6,500 down)

Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2023 Tesla Model 3, 270mile range, white car
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Monthly payment (including tax): $178

Current mileage: 8350 (used 1650 miles less for the year)
Maturity mileage: 30000
Maturity date: 3/27/2026

Cash due (if any): $6,500
Transfer fee: $500 (according to Tesla)

Same new car costs: $326/month with $6155 down.

Vehicle condition (accidents, tire wear, etc.), options, and other details: like new

I paid for this vehicle: $13,505 at lease signing including 11,095 down payment for lower monthly payments. Asking $6,500 of this $13,505.

I don’t think you will move this on here with your current asking price… try Swap A Lease too,
per your post a brand new car can be had for roughly $18 more per month, if true

Not sure how you calculated $18/month more for brand new car.

To be clear brand new car is $326/month and I am asking $178/month.
With similar down payment

Your deal: $178x24mo= $4272+$6500+$500 transfer fee = $11272/24mo= $469.66

New Tesla: $326x35mo = $11410+6155= $17565/36mo = $487.91 for an $18.25 difference :+1:

Not trying to derail, just giving you a constructive criticism as LH is all about the TCO and numbers at the end,

With a 24 month lease and taxes included…it is more expensive, but on a 36 mo it is cheaper, here’s a snap shot deal from Tesla on 24 months:

Est. Lease Payment $337 /mo

Vehicle Price $38,990
Destination Fee $1,390
Order Fee $250
Acquisition Fee $695
Disposition Fee** $395
Est. Non-Tesla Fees
Registration Amount $310
Electronic Reg/Title Filing Fee $33
Tire Fee $7
License Fee $263
Up Front Tax $884
Est. Due at Signing $6,528
Est. 2-year gas savings -$2,000
Trade-in Value Get an Estimate

Lease After Probable Savings $254 /mo

Thanks for the explanation.

But are you not comparing apples to oranges (24m .vs. 36months)?

My deal: $178x24mo= $4272+$6500+$500 transfer fee = $11272/24mo= $469.66/mo
New Tesla: 337x24mo = $8088+$6528 = $14616/24mo = $609/mo

Just food for thought…

Not everyone has $6500 laying around for this deal. Most people rather buy from the dealer with the ability to put on the credit card or roll in the entire DAS into the payment. I think it is a great deal but your best bet is to just keep it on SAL cause no one on this website will touch it.

Agreed that SAL will be a better bet. You should also post some pictures.

My current lease is expiring April 4th and I am looking for a new car. I live in Hayward. I can offer $2000, plus $500 transfer fee (total $2500) to take over the lease.

I don’t think anyone here is going to go for it. SAL should do better.

Another thing to consider is anyone leasing a new Model 3 will most likely get the 2024 redesigned version so with a minor difference in cost, better to go with that.

Looks like OP is not transferring anymore (updated title).
