Deconstructing the 2023 Mazda3 hatchback premium lease offer

Hello all,

This is my first time looking for cars. Can you give me an insight if this is a good deal? Any advice in where I can negotiate will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

For this type of money you can get into something much better.

Begin by reading the leasing 101 section to get a better idea of leasing

You can also use the marketplace for your region to get a broker who can get you into something better for that type of money.

I attempted to reverse engineer the deal: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

It’s an MSRP deal with a 30 point MF markup. You can do better.

At the very least, I’d join SCCA and find a dealer that accepts S Plan pricing with buy rate, and do maximum MSDs: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

While not an amazing deal, it’ll save you $3,500 compared to the original offer with an effective monthly cost of $485 rather than $584. Any reason you’re picking a loaded Mazda 3 AWD hatch in particular?

Most cars do not lease well. They do not have the programs (RV, MF and incentives) to be good candidates for lease-hacking, regardless of what dealer discount you can negotiate. This is truer now than it has ever been. Which means you cannot start your search with a particular car or cars in mind, and then find a way to make them lease well.

It will be like pushing a boulder uphill while pulling teeth, and you’ll still probably have a bad deal in the end. You need to start your search by filtering only the vehicles that are leasing well right now and offer good value per dollar.

Check out the “Share a Deal” and “Marketplace” sections of LH forums to decide what’s leasing well and pick a vehicle that is already proven to offer good value.

Remember, there are no magic wands that can save a deal from poor programs (RV, MF, and incentives) and/or poor discounts.

Do you have Mazda S Plan? It’s I think $110 here Sports Car Club of America

I went though @AutoNinjas and got a turbo P+ completely loaded for a similar DAS and $427 a month. So you can do much better
