Deals on Nice Wagons

I think the make sports cars leasable crowd would refer to these as shooting brakes instead of wagons.

Nah, THIS is a shooting brake:

A later update indicated that it will NOT be produced.

Is the Taycan Cross Turismo a wagon or a shooting brake?

too bad this isn’t in the US

Ahem. Traditionally, a shooting brake should only have 2 (passenger) doors.

But, like the term “coupe,” car makes have totally stretched and corrupted the phrase nowadays.

The upcoming K4 hatch does a decent job of being wagon-y and shooting brake-y, and I would totally get one… but I’m worried about a Hyundai engine destroying itself and sh*t customer service.

It’s got 4 doors and a flat roof - it’s close enough to a wagon that I want one

It would solve almost every gripe with the taycan sedan I have, semi poor rear visibility and even more rear storage space

Which G1 EV better represented their brand, :peach:-wise?

I wouldn’t want a ford normally, I revoke my above statement under that pretext.

The GM at our Audi store has a Panamera Turbo 4s, it is crazy fast. I think it might be the perfect 1 car solution. 600+ hp with a crazy sound system and lots of storage.

@IAC_Scott , Got any loaner Turbos with residual subvention?

I’ve been looking at buying one of these CPO or with CarMax warranty…leases suck unfortunately and volume is so low.

Now available in Europe… It won’t be long now.

You going to ditch your old and outdated iX for this?

I just can’t get behind the Taycan Cross (as much as it pains me to say this). I think the best wagon designs emphasize length, and the Taycan is so wide and low that, when you put it in wagon form, it looks very… squatty and oddly proportioned.

JMO, of course.

With all the bodywork on my IX, it may be the first vehicle I take to lease-end since my 2002 Honda Accord. But, given strong MMR on the I5 M60 sedan, I think it should be an easy flip into a touring. Waiting for @Ashleigh to find one.

My personal definition of a wagon vs a hatchback is that a wagon’s roof stretches flat past the C pillar and then ends at a D pillar that’s distinct from the C.

My parents’ V60 CC was $404 per month including tax with $500 at signing for 36/12. We CPOed it and bought it out after the lease ended, especially since the residual was only 52%.

You know there’s a list. You can get on the list with no fee if you’re nice enough to me though, hahaha. Just kidding - people who have bought a few cars from me don’t need to pay until there is a car in existence for things like that.

A EV with strong MMR? Do they know Christopher Walken didn’t actually own any of these i5?

That’s a good definition. Maybe that’s part of the reason the Taycan Cross bothers me. The “outer” edge of the D-pillar is prob a decent distance from the C-pillar, but the styling is such that it doesn’t seem to LUXURIATE the space btw C- and D.

I also do think the width matters, too. No doubt the RS6 Avant is a wagon, but, when I’ve seem them in person, everything is JUST.TOO.BIG. Too wide. Tires and wheels are too big. It just seems a bit grotesque (which is odd, since I find Audis to be generally restrained).
