I’m in the market for a Kia EV6 and got the MF and RV off of the Edmund’s forum. However, the dealership that I am communicating with says that the MF and RV will be available to share from the finance dept once a credit application is completed. Is this a normal process?
No that isn’t normal
Usually if a dealer wants to keep certain numbers away from you it means that they are hoping to take advantage of you
Would you apply for a mortgage without knowing the interest rate?
otoh, there’s no reason to talk to a dealer about these numbers, because you can get them on your own (using Rate Finder in the calculator if you’re a Super Supporter, or on the appropriate Edmunds forum).
They are trying to take advantage of you for sure. Those are standard based on location. Like said above they are trying to increase it on you for a profit. Move on to a new dealership. Means they will definitely try to take advantage of you later on in the process.
