The only thing I can think of is that the rebates are incorrect. Can you break down the $9750?
Yeah, the “payment due at lease signing” (which includes the rebates) isn’t matching up. Maybe they haven’t done a One Pay before? They aren’t that common.
If your one pay was $8k there is no reason they should have canceled it.
They probably just need to rewrite the contract properly showing $8k and not $5.9k…
Interesting. So I will call with this info and see if its that simple. I am still wondering: is the 10 days counted to the day they send the notice or the day I got it. Because the latter exceeds 10 days.

Yes. But I meant that $8k is a reasonable price for a one pay… The contract is just written poorly.
This happens sometimes. They are sent while still working on the deal. A lot of times they aren’t actually wanting it back but need to send it for legal. We call them 10 day letters. Because you need to send within 10 days

I appreciate your informed opinion. It seems so odd - I answered everything truthfully and have good credit. Do you know how the 10 days are counted? As I wrote, they mailed the FedEx within 10 days but I did not get it until day 11. I like the car and am not above using a technicality to keep it.
Question. Would the cap cost reduction tax not be applicable if the contract was written similar to Yitche2 contract. Not familiar how CA treats incentives.
I’m sure that they don’t WANT it back. It seems like it was a goof on the paperwork. Just make sure that the numbers match up and you don’t end up paying more than what was agreed upon.
had the same letter with my lease, turns out to be miscommunication between financial mgr and gm.
It could be something on the back end financing so it might be nothing. Normally they should call you ahead of time not to freak you out.
I never got a letter, but I did get a call to come back and sign a new contract on my Volt because they messed up the taxes somehow. Nothing else changed. I doubt it will become a huge issue, unless they REALLY screwed something up!
