Just curious to peoples thoughts… what is a reasonable discount to push for on a new car?
I don’t just mean new to me the buyer, I mean new to the market, as in just hitting dealer showroom floors today.
I am interested in a Honda Clarity Plug in Hybrid.
I would think 10% off would be awesome… but I don’t know how realistic that would be on a brand new model. maybe 7-8% is more realistic?

My recent experiences trying to negotiate with Honda tells me that 10% is dreaming. The most they were willing to take off of 2017s with 2018s on the lot was only around 4-6%. Brand new model, you’ll probably have even worse chances of a good discount.
Give it a try though!
