Deposit as in we’ve agreed on numbers and we have an appointment for me to come in and view the car, or I’m going to get financing, etc. If you want to honorably hold the unit that is fine… these dealer guys here are clearly a different breed
But deposits on new make even less sense. If the car is brand new, it is what it is. “If you want it, buy it”
Not at all surprised this happened at a jeep dealership. Unfortunately, without a sales contract you probably don’t have any recourse. Calling their corporate office may help, but leaving a shitty review is probably the best you can do in this situation.
If deal does go through, I will nuke them even if they give me old price. They wasted my time on this when I could have just bought one locally, which sold already
Comes across as pretty entitled. Just move on with your life and be done or get them to do the old deal and be satisfied. Can’t have your cake and eat it too
Ya put your big bad leaserhacker and Instagram powers to their full use. Just seems really childish.
Why tf would random people on this site leave bad reviews based on your account of the transaction? Some people have way too much free time and are basically professional complainers.
There’s a reason why OP previously had multiple accounts on here and had to run away to hide from this site before. His true colors are coming out again.
I got this recently too. Is this a new thing? My dealer said they can only take a deposit for 24hrs and you have to pick it up by then. So they didn’t want to take my deposit.
I thought dealers would love to take a deposit in the past to hold the car
Apparently, the dealer doesn’t hold deposits for out-of-state buyers cause it takes “too long” to get paperwork done. I am just more annoyed that I did the credit app based on the original numbers and was approved for financing then why say we going to charge more? Makes no sense, this is worse than bait and switch, at least that is done prior to credit apps saying the car isn’t available blah blah
Yeah, I think I am just going to walk away from it!
The manager did call back saying he would honor pricing and would throw in “lifetime oil changes” but doesn’t help me since I am out of state. I don’t think I am being unreasonable especially after it was agree’d after credit app and such. If they pulled it before hand, I would have just be like nvm.
