I thought you always had to make the 1st payment even when â$0 DASâ. If so, then the effective payment is approx $356 (before ad valorem) for 24/10 with $0 DAS .
The 36/10 payment was about $2 less with $2000 DAS. So the effective payment with $0 DAS is approx $333 (before ad valorem).
I originally negotiated the lease with the assumption that I paid taxes and fees upfront (roughly $2000) to keep the deal terms cleaner. Once we reached an agreement, I didnât bother rolling in the $2000.
I understand the argument behind putting nothing down on a lease. But the probability that one would total a car or have it stolen and unrecoverable is pretty low. And I get the 2% rebate on my credit card for the DAS. Itâs a toss up for me so a little money down is splitting it down the middle.
I was posting the monthly rate before and after ad valorem. Since the majority of the population doesnât live in Georgia, the monthly rate before ad valorem is more relevant.
Doesnât matter how itâs calculated - you are still paying it, it is in your lease contract and is part of your total lease cost.
You edited your post after I replied. I stated your total monthly payment with 0 DAS
