Just took delivery yesterday! Absolutely awesome! Not made for anyone taller than 5’4 in full transparency!! I’m not tall (5’8) but somehow managed to be okay with it. The drive, technology, and emotional satisfaction made up for it.
Car arrives here in No.Cal tomorrow as I flew to Scottsdale to take delivery. Posting pics shortly
Hey All-
After 3 months of speaking with Lamborghini dealers across the country I am done with negotiating and am seeking everyone’s constructive feedback on the deal below. Please understand that I know this isn’t a unicorn type of situation that I got on my e-tron or R8. This is a, “I am getting my dream car while also not paying full price.” So please take the type of car in context when reviewing the deal and share with me your thoughts. Curious to know if there are any legendary hackers who got similar or better. This was hard to structure as there isn’t much pricing data to go off of.
Thanks in advance for the thoughts and feedback
2020 Lamborghini Huracan
MSRP: $332,645
Sale Price: 286,645 (13.8% off)
Term: 24 months
Residual: 72%
Mileage: 2,500 (its $2/mile on the front or the end so I went with low)
Money Factor: .00210 (5%) - the buy rate is .00135 but to discount it another $10K they needed to raise it
Cap Cost Reduction: $30,000
Drive Off: $38,000
Payment: $1,990/month
Higher MF for additional discount is a wash mostly (slightly in your favor but ya). Not sure why you are putting 30K down. Like I know the MF is really high but still.
So essentially $3,240 per month with 9k driveoffs.
Is this an evo? Spyder?
What are in the 9k driveoffs?
Why the ccr?
2500 miles/yr is super low in so-cal unless this is exclusively a one or two weekend a month car for you. For the northeast I would say 2500/yr is good but idk, in California I would drive it 2-3x a week if it was possible.
Did you entertain buying one? These things hold value well compared to mclaren, you might end up better off just buying a very low mileage spec under warranty (1 year old) and then sell it before warranty is up. The warranty is 3 years/ unlimited miles.
It’s very possible to have positive equity at the end of the lease or during the lease, so that’s a positive point.
It’s an Evo Spyder. Drive off is registration ($3k-$4k), 1st payment, ($2k), all the other fees. This was an overestimate on my part. When I sign either tonight or in the AM it will likely be lower. I took the 2,500 miles because it added to residual value. I’ll look at market at lease end then buy. I’ll either have equity or be able to negotiate dealer down to market if it didn’t depreciate appropriately. I did think of buying lightly used but have trended towards “want” and “desire” vs any rational thought. At the same time with that said, it seems like a decent discount all things considered.
If i were getting a lamborghini I would up the miles and make it a daily driver, forget 2500 miles a year. Flaunt that ride off by upping it to 10 or 12k.
You will get tired of the attention quicker than you think. People will ask you (what do you do? What kind of car is it? How much does it cost? EVERYWHERE YOU GO)
Getting in and out of the car is a pain for a dd.
It’s very uncomfortable to drive as well for super short trips and long distances (3+ hours), the blindspots are brutal. Passenger will sit in an awkward position as well.
It’s a nice car to cruise, go valet at the resturant(slip him a 20 so he puts it at the front and doesn’t joyride it) and to go out on town, cars and coffee, hammer it on the on-ramps, etc etc.
Also parking will drive you nuts, you will always have it in the back of your head “what if I find a door ding, somebody sits on my hood for a pic and dents it, etc etc”
If anyone daily drives a lamborghini my hats off to them cause I wouldn’t be able to handle the stress of that.
Understandable, was just curious how true to that 2500 you were gonna stay.
Either way enjoy the new toy and post pics, with these cars it’s more about the car than the deal imo.
this. all of this. it feels awful to have an i8 right now. people just look at you the wrong way, and nobody would understand that it’s a net $609 a month payment…
