Deal - please help evaluate 2019 jetta ulev

Hello this is my first post as well as my first car lease. I’m in the Denver area looking at 2 different 2019 VW Jetta sedan ULEV.

Right now the deal I have is:
terms: 39 months, 12k miles/year

MSRP:$21,125
Discount: $4,896
Value Price: $16,229
D&H: $599
monthly payment: $200 (taxes included)
Due at signing: $1,550

The dealership used a residual value of 43% and a money factor of 0.00071
Am I getting a good deal or is there room for improvement? I appreciate any and all feedback!

0.43% RV? Wow… they drop like a rock these days.

What state/zip are you in?
Did you verify with forums.edmunds for RV and MF rate?

That discount is rather significant. Is there are rebate in it?

Yet still with such terrible RV only 200 a months.

I curious if keeping the discount and switch the term to 24/36, would it look better?

Colorado, 80228 ZIP. When I checked the most recent comments on edmunds the RV was ranging from 43%-49%, MF seemed to be constant 0.00001, if that is the case is 0.00071 a substantial markup by the dealer? I’m not sure of all of the rebates in the discount, I know it includes a recent college grad deal.

Ask Edmunds for your zip code exactly. Sometimes there are regional differences.

I created a post on the forum asking for 80228 RV and MF. I’ll let you know what values they give.

-thanks

edmunds confirmed the low residual value but said the MF should be 0.00001 not 0.00071. Any advice on how to approach a highly marked up MF?

Essentially negotiate. Tell them base MF is such and you want that in the quote.
Since now you know their discount, make sure they don’t bring it up.

If they refuse take the deal to the next dealership to match sale price with base MF.
