Buying a ford maverick - wanted to make sure the numbers added up - MSRP on the vehicle is 31,755 (Lariat package, 360 + destination fees).
Do you really need the Appearance and Dent protection packages? Are the being forced on you?
It’s up to you however that’s $1258 I personally wouldn’t spend. If the deal was for MSRP then it looks about right. Obligatory high FL dealer fee and all.
I asked for them to remove the appearance and dent protection. The dealer is charging 899, can anything be done about this?
You can go to a different dealer.

That’s fairly standard for FL…unfortunately you, like most consumers these days have little leverage to negotiate with. Even less so with an in-demand vehicle. If you can get the packages removed and are otherwise happy with the deal, go for it.
Thanks for the info, will remove the packages and move forward with it. Just sucks that the dealer fee is that high for a 30K car
You’re assuming that’s an option. It probably won’t be.
Gather that information beforehand before you decide whether to move forward or not.
You’re paying more than $2,100 over MSRP based on the image here. Maybe more if FL tag/reg (which is pretty cheap IIRC) is actually less than the $549 you’re paying here.
These are real hard to find in stock and I think is a good deal at $2100 over (if that what it is). Don’t forget to include the tax rebate(s). I hope you don’t loose it while debating!!

I think @z0lt3c was thinking it’s electric or there was a trade in.
Those are the 2 cases I can think of that a tax break is offered
