If you’ve already placed the order, it’s a little late to ask.
I am guessing, given your price adjustment, that this was an inventory unit?
Is the $2000 sales incentive from using a referral code when ordering?
If you have both these boxes checked, unless you are Military, you’ve got this maxed out. Keep in mind Tesla is now (as of today) permitting end-term lease buyouts, going the leasing route may result in a lower upfront payment and offer some short-term tax advantages.
Thank you. I haven’t hit the accept on the financing yet because I started getting second thoughts and worried if I was making a mistake. Never been an EV or Tesla fan but test drove one and was impressed with the FSD. I did use a referral code and the additional discount was because it was in stock.
Coming from a QX80 whose lease was past maturity and the current rates I was getting back for 3rd row SUVs were more than double than my current lease. I honestly only test drove the X to make my husband stop bugging me to - but I was fully intending to hate it. I drove the Y and the X, with kids in tow and the space and access to the 3rd row was impressive in the X.
So why do you need a Model X Plaid to haul the kids around in? This sounds more like something your husband wants than you need. Are you already set up with a Tesla charger at home?
I don’t NEED one. But I just returned my QX80 and compared to the current rates on the new QX80 this is less, has more space and the FSD. I’m also a tech nerd and Cybersecurity Forensic Engineer by day and we sometimes haul surfboards to and from the beach.
Is there a way to confirm the history on this VIN as they are stating it’s brand new - want to make sure it’s not actually a lemon.
Tesla (direct) is not going to misrepresent a vehicle with a lemon history. However, given your $8990 price adjustment, it’s possible it could be a demo (with miles) or could have had pre-delivery damage. In both cases, Tesla discloses these conditions in the inventory listing from which you placed the order. It’s usually a good idea to run a carfax on the VIN to see if any accident history was reported.
I think you mean to say “they’re not supposed to misrepresent ”…
Tesla sold me a “brand new” car that clearly was not brand new when it was delivered to me. the 350 miles, damage to exterior, and trash inside were not a new car.
And I live really close to the Fremont manufacturing facility. It would have had fewer miles on it if someone drove it straight from end assembly to my house.
I’m still going over it, but your offer confirms Tesla is passing through the $7500 EV incentive when leasing, even on a MXP. That means you are getting a $8990 + $2000 + $7500 ($18,490) total incentive. The downside is the MF is almost 8% and the RV must be hot garbage given the payment.
There are a number of options for Model X roof rack. For surfboards, generally, you would stack the boards offset on one side. This restricts the opening height of one door but allows the other door to open fully. Not a surfboard, but this is the same idea-
