Deal check XC90 T8

Hi!

Is this a good deal?

It’s a 2026 T8 Xc90 in California (LA area)

MSRP $87k
Selling price $81k
Gross Cap cost $83k
Adjusted Cap cost $75k

So about 12k off

lease term of 36 months at $1300 per month with $0k down. Standard MF.

Note that the EV rebate doesn’t apply to 2026 models.

I can wait till October. Just wondering if the deals get better on 2026, or whether this combination of discount / rebate is pretty good.

CA

You gotta be crazy to even consider paying $1300/mo in one of these.

Absolutely terrible deal. Find yourself a broker and see what they can do.

These are the kinda of deals people who don’t know about this site sign.
Terrible terms..
Why not just get a 2025?
Use a broker and save idk 8 grand or better.

Glad you posted here so we can all collectively talk you out of that !

Leasehacking is about timing and selection.

Last December was the time to get a XC90 when a T8 Ultra was around $400 plus tax. If the big incentives don’t return to make it a sub $500 car again you should look at something else.

There comes a time every year when Volvo realizes they can’t sell all these :sauropod: and then they light a fire

Why not to get a 25.5 for half? The same car.

I know. I know. The choice is not rational.
The better half is hung up on the color/trim - and I can’t find 2025.5 in that config anymore. Have a 2024 lease ending in oct which maybe we should just buy off. I was tempted by the marginally better tech and facelift 2025.5 and on.

I suppose if you took away your reservations about the car, is this typically a good deal - supposedly $11k off msrp and an MF of 0.00264? :).

No. $1,300/mo is never a good deal on this or similar cars.

Ok I am seeing a trend here.

Last attempt - So, what is a good lease deal for a car that has an msrp of $87k. What should be the range of discounts/incentives that I can realistically ask for.
Any tips on the negotiation?

Thanks in advance!

Look in the Marketplace what brokers are currently offering. That would be the deals for this month. And these deals could still may not be any good. If programs suck, you can’t get a good deal. Hence, suggestion 25.5 instead of 26.
