I mean, I think I’d prefer an Audi over a VW? I think they’re pretty mechanically identical aren’t they? The Audi is just nicer?
I was looking for a cheapish garage-mate for my BMW iX, and honestly my top choice was a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited. But Houston inventory was low, the dealers were crap, and I couldn’t find any tax credits–so I wound up paying a bit more for the A6.
This seems like a stupid concern given how hopefully little interaction you’d have with the dealer–but I get treated much more professionally at luxury dealerships than mass-market ones.
The Ioniq 5 limited was my FAV. It’s seriously the best EV for $55k. Can’t get below $500 on those. No tax credits. Flying off the shelf. A mess. Congrats on the A6. They look great. I’ll look into them. With the hatch, it’s probably comparable to a small SUV anyhow.
LOL. Have you pulled the, “I can be there in 20 minutes to pick it up if you can get to $190?”
Yeah, the A6 is pretty cutting edge on the charging and range front, but the interior isn’t as nice as the BMW i5 or iX–nor is the self-driving. And the other annoying thing, no auto lock on walk away when using your phone as a key. I do like the way it looks, and the hatch is very usable.
Honestly, if you’ve gotten a good pre-incentive/-rebate discount, if the dealer is applying all incentives/rebates for which you qualify, if there’s little to no add-on BS, and the dealer’s (real) offer comes close to your lease calculator, then the deal is probably fine.
Hey, only a couple weeks left in the month, what did you go with? I’m in Florida and looking for a I5 or ID.4 deal as well, reached out to a broker just now to see what they have for One Pays but wanted to get your insight.
I went with Autoninja but didn’t see any actual deals. I was able to negotiate a Chevy One Pay locally, the equinox seems to be very hackable. Good luck!
