Hello,
Need help trying to put together the offer I got from the dealership and the calculator. I asked the dealer to include $4000 in security deposits as well as to pay the taxes and fees upfront.
I qualify for Costco and I will sign for ABA at the moment of closing the deal. Please help me understand what I’m doing wrong and how this deal score.
Thank you!
Use the actual RV (71%?) and not adjusted. You already selected demo miles in the calculator. And try to get tax credit, this will save you a lot of $$$
Are you sure incentives are untaxed? Where is dealer fee, registration and tax in your calculator?
If the dealer offers a tax creidt plug, 1.2% .
Also, in Texas, you should have rebates as follows:
$4250 lease cash
$7500 ev lease rebate
$2k Costco
$2k ABA.
Total: $15,750
Something like that
Thanks, and sorry, but I am new here and not sure how the fix the RV. Also, how do I get tax credits? Never heard about it.
I marked incetives as untaxed based on other calculator i found in the forum.
I added $1420 fees into the calculator.
Sorry for asking again, but not sure what is a tax credit plug.
From where is coming that $4250 lease cash? Volvo itself?
Edit .
There is a $3500 dealer cash in Texas.
Yes , that $3500 is a direct incentive from the manufacturer to the dealer.
You need to ask the dealer if they offer lease sales tax credit. If yes, you plug 1.2% for sales tax.
I know they should because many LHs got it in the last couple of days.
This is my best attempt with sales tax credit of 1.2%
I included 10MSDs.
The RV is slighly lower than the adj. cap cost.
Offer this deal to the dealer, take it and run LOL
Thanks. I’m afraid they will say the manufacturer incentive is already included in the discount.
Another question, how making the lease into one pay could save me money?
That’s the cash on a 25. This is a 24. It may be different.
Volvo doesn’t offer one pay.
You can sign the contract with 10 MSDs, which will save you roughly $ 50 to $60 per month.
24 has less cash than 25. I think it’s $1000 less.
They don’t want to offer the additional rebates or tax credit. They claim that’s the best they can do. I got some other offers coming up from other dealers, will see.
@Zenek and others, I’m not sure how to ask this, but I got a quote from a dealer in a neighboring state (LA). They’re willing to offer the lease sales tax credit (1.2% instead of 6.25%) and said they’ll handle registering the car in Texas for me. Does anyone know if this is something that can be done legally?
@ChevyCoach please help with the above question.
TIA
My understanding is that out of state dealers cannot offer the TX sales tax credit unless something has changed. Maybe a TX broker/dealer can chime in here.
