Deal Check - Suburban

36/10 on an LT is 54% per Edmunds, so I’d guess we are closer to 50% here unless the bank is inflating a bit.

OP – take a step back and digest what @max_g said. Why on earth would you want to spend over 45k and have nothing to show for it at the end of four years, when you can purchase this outright for ~60k (without knowing discounts on these things) ?

This class is not hackable. Why not purchase?

Edit: as others have said, if there’s some world where you don’t actually need the extra cargo, and you’re set on leasing, at least look at the QX80.

As @Siejammy said, find a dealer that has a 2024 on the lot and just finance it. Especially this weekend before the end of Q1. They will be willing to give a substantial discount to get it moved. And they will likely take care of your current lease as well, assuming it’s another GM lease you’re turning in?

Or, you could also get a 2024 expedition or navigator with a much larger discount. Not sure if those lease well, but in the full size SUV category purchase tends to be the way to go.

PS- 2024 navigators have 0% financing for 72 months.

Have you driven one of these. The wheels will fall off before OP has paid it off.

No, the wheels will not fall off. And resale / used demand will always be there from Ubers and families that cannot afford new.

And are we really talking about reliability compared to GM, the company that hasn’t completely fixed AFM and other design flaws since 2007 afaik?

Yea the 6.2I engines in the Tahoe, Escalade etc have a huge design flaw with the rods that can kill the engine at any point in time. I would take an Expesition or Nav any day

Aren’t those Ford 10 speed autos just as brutal?

I’m not familiar with the issue but you’re pretty much always dealing with some sort of issue when it comes to those big SUVs. I’d happily drive an Escalade any day.

Have you driven an expedition lately? I would never own one out of warranty. Not to mention the interior is 100% cheap plastic.

There is no reason to take an MSRP deal on a Suburban LS. You can try Pine Belt Chevrolet in NJ, they are advertising an LS with a $1,188 discount and you can do better with a little more searching (ask for 4%). I would look into the 39mo program with a 52% RV versus the 44% RV on the 48mo program.

But I would be looking for a used 2024 for around $50K.

And then financing it with a balloon loan if you want lease like payments.
