It is practically impossible for us to tell you what a “good” monthly payment is for your specific lease as lease programs are highly dependent on region, personal qualifications, tax rates, etc.
We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.
With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.
Money Factor: 0.00086
Residual Value: 53%-2%= 51% at 15k miles
State is FL tax rate 6%
That’s a start to the info you need to put together your target deal
I think I got what you need
Incentives
4250$ lease bonus + 1500$ a plan
MSRP- 43795
I believe the sell would be 39,545 which isn’t good (9.7% discount instead of 19.1% I had thought) but after incentives 35,397
I can’t get the calculator to give me the lease price with incentives, but if I roll the incentives into the sell price I get the number
Def doing this wrong
If your selling price post incentives is $35397 and you have $5750 in incentives, your pre-incentive selling price is 41147, or 6% pre-incentive. Which is exactly what one would expect from an a-plan deal.
Now, $1500 in a-plan bonus is definitely on the higher side right now, which means you’d need to find someone selling at higher than 9.5% to do better than a-plan. That’s probably plenty do-able, but may take some more aggressive searching. You should look at the shared deals and market place listings here to try to establish what a good target pre-incentive discount without a-plan is.
This is what I got on the calc now.
Pretty bad deal.
You need to copy the link under the “share your numbers” section after the monthly, not the url at the top of the browser window.
I’m much smarter than this. Just trying to work and do this. -_- haven’t leased a car in 14 years
You’re in FL, so no way the dealer doc fee is $85 (that’s the calculator default and happens to be what CA is legally limited to).
It really comes down to this: what you have in front of you is a standard a-plan deal. You should be able to go to any dealer and get the same deal, because, well, that’s the point of a-plan. If you ditch a-plan, you may be able to work out a better deal, but you’re going to have to get them to come way up on the dealer discount to start to show improvement. The 9%ish number you’ll have to beat isn’t a horrible deal, so it comes down to how much effort you want to put into it. You might consider finding a comparable vehicle at another volvo dealer and throw out some offers that are more aggressive. If you can’t beat it, you can always fall back on the a-plan deal.
I don’t get what I’m doing wrong here, but the discount to get to my numbers is 9.6% not including a plan.
The Volvo allowance is a direct to dealer incentive so it is untaxed. The $1500 is taxed still.
It looks like they’re itemizing out the $1500, so my percents off above aren’t correct, but an a plan deal isn’t supposed to be over 6%. There are some dealers that some how push it through though
So I got about 9% off plus A plan? Or am I doing it wrong?
Looks about right. Not sure how they’re doing it, in which case, not a bad deal if the incentives check out.
I think i figured it out. MF:.00019. Credit is over 850. Prob could of got it to 360-370$ easily.
A hugely marked up mf to hide the extra discount will do it
