Polestar 3 is currently leasing for $399 - is this a decent deal?
• $399 per month for 27 months
• $5,399 cash due at signing
¹Monthly lease payment of $399 per month for 27 months is based on Polestar 3 Long range Single motor with an adjusted capitalized cost of $49,895 (MSRP of $68,900 including destination and delivery fee of $1,400, plus acquisition fee of $995, less $5,000 capitalized cost reduction, $15,000 Polestar Clean Vehicle Noncash Incentive, and $2,000 Long range Single motor Noncash Promotion).
I don’t think it’s a terrible deal at all and it’s certainly not a mediocre product. It’s basically about $600 per month plus tax. What would bother me is that you need to pay for registration for a full 3rd year but will only keep it for 3 months in its 3rd year. I did see someone here on east coast advertise a 93k polestar 3 for basically the same money, which is a much much nicer car. Do a search to see if it’s still available and pay for the shipping.
Tax, title, license, registration and dealer fees are additional fees due at signing. Advertised payment does not include applicable taxes.
Title/registration will be ~$800 alone, or over $30 a month.
Sales tax will apply to the incentives, and then to the monthly payment. I didn’t due the math, but you’re probably in the $800/month range at this point.
As a general rule, manufacturer and dealer lease ads represent terrible deals. When in doubt, see previous sentence.
I drove the Polstar 3 and it was nice. I would follow up and contact a sales rep and see what they come up with. I just checked a few weeks back in SoCal and a base model was around $650 w tax and 15k miles. Their sales people are not pushy, supposedly no commission.
