Deal Check on Texas BMW i5 M60 Lease

, ,

Still negotiating a one payment 3year 10k miles lease on a BMW i5 M60 in Texas. I have a trade which is why the tax is low. I do question if that is how taxes work on a lease as I thought the tax was on the whole negotiated purchase price

  • MSRP low 90s
  • MF .00045
  • Residual 50%
  • Discount:** $7,406

Incentives:

  • $9,900 BMW FS lease credit
  • $1,000 BEV Conquest credit

Dealer fees

  • Sales service fee: $742.69
  • DMV/Reg: $621
  • Doc: $225
  • Acquisition: $925
  • Tax: $1,063.23

Total of $32,612.59

I think I can do better, the MF seems high. I think I can ask for more on my trade and a slightly better discount. This was the second offer after their first which was horrible.

Need more details. Why does it need to be one pay on such a large amount??? @IAC to the rescue!

I don’t like payments and the trade in covers it along with cash out.

Have you done any DD what happens in case it’s totaled?

This is Taycan money for a I5, even if it’s an M60.

IMO hacking is all about timing and selection. Over the last year people have gotten this car’s closest comps for much less such as the RS Etron GT and EQE AMG

Timing is tight on any EV because of credits and Porsche MF and discounts aren’t great for a Taycan. Don’t think even a Macan electric 4, much less 4s, would even be close. I am not taking the BMW deal yet as that was their opening offer and I’m asking for a bigger discount and better MF. Texas also has the added complication of hight sales tax.

Are there no lender sales tax credits available?

Just on i5 M60.

Got updated numbers
10% off msrp
BMW credits 10900
MF .0002
3yr/10k
residual 50%
Significant Texas sales tax reduction because of trade - total ~$946 tax
all in it is ~$30k

There is a 1% service fee in there somewhere.

Short of getting a bigger discount or higher trade allowance don’t think I can move it much more.

What’s the 1% service fee? Is this a broker deal?

I only ask b/c it’s pretty rare to see “Service Fee” and their is only one or maybe two brokers on here that get paid by the dealer vs the lessee. Broker or Service fee is almost always paid directly to the broker.

Definitely not our deal but we know which store it is based on the deal description.

I picked up a '25 M60 at the end of last month in North Texas. By way of comparison for a $102k MSRP at 36/15, closed deal at 11% off, $11.9k incentives & loyalty, and trade tax reduction, all in just over $1150. MF, however, massively sucked compared to this month! :sob:

With fast dwindling numbers of inventory and improved programs arguably there’s no reason for dealers to dig as deep this month.

The 1% is pure profit and it irks me a bit. I’d really like more than 10% off or slightly higher on my trade, don’t really care. They quoted .00005 MF for a one pay on 3y/7.5k

The buy rate on that model is so low that it honestly does not make sense to do a one pay.

See reference point below.

That is a nice deal. Any tax credits available? Though I really don’t like black.

The one pay is a psychological thing. My wife really dislikes payments and the trade in covers the payment and leaves more than half to payout to me.

Unfortunately it’s from an out of state dealer so no lender tax credits are available on that one.

We may be able to work something out if you’re interested in that one though.
