I think it matters what part of the country you are in. If you search the threads, you will see in CA, leases are running about $450-550 a month with $3,500 total drive off (which includes down payment, tax, license and fees).
Don’t know if you can get a better dealer discount. You’ll need to research selling prices in your local market. What I do know is that you should not be charged the purchase option fee of 150 at lease inception. You only pay that IF you exercise your purchase option. Also, the disposition fee of 595 is not paid upfront. It is paid at lease end if you decide to turn-in the vehicle. Your other option is to trade it or purchase it. So, whoever structured this lease does not know what they’re doing. Doesn’t surprise me.
I would use the 2000 rebate as a cap reduction and conserve your money. This results in a monthly payment of 838.97 including tax at 5.50%.
I would ask other dealers with loaner GLE 450s for a more aggressive deal, if anyone bites you can go with them or use their offer sheet as leverage with your original dealer.
I don’t have a basis to know what GLE450 lease deals look like rn, but that monthly payment doesn’t feel very compelling for a loaner. I like 1% msrp a month or less for a new car, would personally want to do significantly better than that on a demo/loaner.
I don’t have AAA, but I have Sam’s Club. My dealership is refusing to use the Sam’s Club code, saying they don’t work with Sam’s Club. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?
Yeah I agree, there are quite a few in the south (Florida/georgia) or West coast. Unfortunately the Midwest is a different ballgame. There are a lot less dealerships in a much larger geographic area so not as much inventory or competition.
I’ve had issues in the past with getting cars registered when I get them from out of state. So willing to pay a bit more to avoid that headache.
That’s for a car w/ an MSRP that $6K less, requires AAA and conquest, has a DAS that’s $1.5K more than OP’s, and also doesn’t include tax in the monthly.
I’m not saying that OP is getting an amazing deal, but the deal you posted is not an apples-to-apples comparison, IMHO.
There is $2k lease cash and $1.5k conquest. If any of it is included in your discount, then it’s not good discount. I’d try 15-17% off plus $2k lease cash and $1.5k conquest (if they give it to you). Or find another dealer who accepts Sam’s for another $500 off
