I’m working on a deal for the EV9 GT line with relaxation package, but from the online calculator it seems the price should be about 100 dollars a month cheaper. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong, and if this is a reasonable deal? Thank you!
First, you don’t need volcano insurance (EPAP).
The LH calculator? If so, please copy / paste a link to your best effort; no one is going be able to guess.
I’ll take one blind stab, though, that you might not be separating dealer discount from incentives, the latter of which are taxed in most states (no idea about IN).
Also, it would be a good idea to step back and figure out exactly what you should be paying for this car before talking further to this dealer or any other.
Holding a deal sheet before you know this positions you poorly for success.
Thank you for your help. I think you are exactly right. Once I move the incentives to the taxed portion of the calculator and roll them into the monthly payment, the calculation is within 30 dollars of their proposal. Does $800 per month after 2,000 down seem reasonable?
You’re showing $0 dealer discount. That’s terrible.
But I don’t think that’s correct, as it’s unlikely that your incentive total will end in “58”.
This is part discount and part incentives.
You need to know the breakdown. The pre-incentive discount is among the very most important things to know, and you currently don’t know.
Also $30 isn’t an acceptable margin of error on your calc vs. theirs. If I’m off by $5 a month I keep looking to figure out where I went wrong.
No.
The main reason your calc off is the whole Down / Due issue, you put $2000 down when it probably is $2000 due…which then shifts it to around your numbers.
But the real key is how much discount? There is about $16800 in rebates easily available, so you are getting $2000 off? So 2.6% off? Pretty low
How long was that car on the lot? Check Cargurus
I think you can get them to do a much steeper discount. We recently signed this deal, and as @forbs said, check how long it’s been on lot.
