Deal check on 23 Escalade Sport Platinum

,

Got a call from my local Cadillac salesman and he apparently has a number of demo units available coming out from the US Open where they were used as display vehicles. Asking $3000 ADM on Prem Lux (~$102K) and $7500 ADM on Sport Platinum (~$118K). This is going to be my daily driver, just really want to make sure I’m not underwater if this market turns over. Seems like the deal on the Sport Platinum maybe better as the MMR is over $130K.

Anybody know a place to get one at MSRP?

Wow you buy cars like they are candy hehe.
The used market has flipped over, just some dealers are in denial.

And of course didn’t you contact @Clutch to see if he’s got any for you?

The Escalade market in the Northeast has been falling quite a bit. A safer bet is the Sport Plat but they are achievable at MSRP with an order or an incoming unit.

I agree the Sport Platinum should be safer, but I personally wouldn’t do either of them.

@Clutch had a sports platinum at $5k over earlier in the week. May be worth checking there.

Small sample size, but the market seem to be pretty strong still for the MY23.

I’ve talked with @clutch before but his locations are not close to NJ and usually adding the transportation expense and broker fee to a $5K ADM… is about $7500. Now If I could order one at MSRP, that would be another story, but haven’t found that opportunity in NJ (yet).

Historically Escalades depreciate like 50% in 5 years. If gas prices don’t stay around this level and increase again I’d imagine these will depreciate like they did in the past. I’ve been looking for one as well for section 179 and I do see then once in awhile at msrp

Remember the massive 5 figure rebates on the outgoing model during the great covid clearance

That was the old body style though correct? I feel like these newer ones will hold value a little better

I would probably put around 5000 miles on it before looking to sell in 6 months.

Appreciate you guys providing some input. If these are that easy to get at MSRP, I don’t think I can justify paying the ADM. If I really wanted one, I could wait for an order to show up.

I wouldn’t say easy at all. Maybe with an order and waiting if you have time. Most are still usually marked up.

Does anyone have an idea what the build time is for a sport platinum?

Full tax or some benefit from a trade-in?

I was told about 6 months.

They would be taking my F150 Lightning as a trade-in, that would negate a large amount of the tax.

He started with 6 units and only has 2 left so clearly they are still moving at the ADM.

My dealer said they sell them at MSRP.
