Instead of down though I plan on putting in 10 MSDs.

I’m going request to remove the optional permaplate.

First time buying a car, so having a hard time gauging the deal. It seems good to me?

I do have additional offers from other dealerships (albeit with fewer add-ons).

One dealer I have gave me a quote with $5000 dealer discount for stripped options (53,895 MSRP)

Another similarly offered me $6000 dealer discount

I plan leveraging these in person for the original deal to ask for another 1k (7k total dealer discount).

Is that too aggressive?

Atrocious. Have you seen deals inside Marketplace and Signed Deals & Tips

Oof, good to know. I couldn’t find anything close to what I’m what I’m looking for. Like, I didn’t see any Mercedes EV sedans since it’s so new. So I guess I should negotiate for an even higher dealer discount, since I don’t think I qualify for any more incentives?

I’d shoot for 11-12% off pre-incentive. Seems to be the floor for a competitive new MB deal (that’s not a previous MY car)

Walnut Creek is a high volume store, I’d imagine they’d do it.

There’s a CLA250 (diff model, I know) in Signed Deals & Tips, and there was a CLA250 in the Pre-Negotiated Deal a few wks ago? At least based on those deals, 8% off MSRP for CLA250 is very, VERY unimpressive. Not sure if the same applies to the 350, but why not try?

See if they’ll dump the add the add ons (a 7-yr permaplate for 3 lease???)

Also, have you checked the residual drop from 24 mos to 36 mos to 48 mos?

Thanks for the input~

Residual:

24 Months $27,501.25 47.6%
36 Months $23,970.89 41.5%
48 Months $18,673.63 32.3%

Yeah, I didn’t realize the drop was so steep from 3 to 4 years. I was initially thinking hold on for as long as possible, then see where EVs are in down the line and consider buy out. But given this I think I’ll get the 3 year lease instead. Really helpful!!!

The CLA is based on a new platform, so I’d personally until maybe mid-cycle facelift for improvements b/f considering one for a buyout (but I think a shorter lease would be fine).
