looking for a better discount but it has been hard in NY dealers. How much more is a decent discount? 7%?

Even at 9% off the 40i becomes a ~$1,000 effective payment which is beyond absurd. It’s just an X3 with an I6, which has always been BMW’s bread and butter engine.
The SQ5 is a much better value this month.
At that monthly cost, I would just buy it and sell it after 4 years… it will work out to be less than the lease on per month basis.

They probably won’t, X3 30i another story. There aren’t that many of these for them to drop a crazy amount.
5.8% is NOT good! the reg 4cly is 10% + and the x5 is now 10.5%+… So, I’m also in the market for a x3 m40i but will switch up to a x5 m sports package if it makes more sense with the better discount however I see no reason why 8% can’t be had on a X3 m40… There is a broker on here that has 8% on the M340i and perhaps another in the NE…True, there are not many on the lots but these are always ordered anyways and the turn around time for these has been only 2-3 weeks now, which is wow! even faster then 3 weeks if your on the east cost lets say in the NY area as it’s close to south Carolina.
You can get up to 8% off an X3 M40i, based on current broker offers in Marketplace – You may need to look for an out of state dealer, although the benefit of NY is lower doc fees.
what it was a surprise to me is that the discount is higher but they marked the mf so the monthly payment are kind of similar when you use a broker
yes I am counting with that so maybe discount are more aggressive? but it hasn’t been the case
