Deal Check Mercedes GLB GLB 250 in MI

Thank you. Learning so much from this site. Looking at things completely different now. I’ll keep you posted!

Essentially there are two types of people here. Type one is only looking for the cheapest vehicle. To them, it’s purely a mathematical decision. Personal enjoyment is not part of the equation. Type two has a particular vehicle in mind and just wants the best deal possible on that particular vehicle. Even though it may not be the “best deal” out there. They just don’t want to get taken advantage of when they buy/lease.

There is a hybrid person also, I guess. They have a particular segment of vehicle they want and want the best deal out there. So, the best compact lux SUV is what they want, and they’ll take whatever it is. Be it BMW, MB, Cadillac, etc.

You should reach out to @Benedetto as he is a fantastic volvo broker.

I echo everyone elses comments, the GLB250 is just not worth this kind of money. Have you thought about a Hyundai Palisade or a Kia Telluride?

I am looking at the Pallisade and Santa Fe right now. I do really like them both!

This is the truth! What I WANT is a Land Rover. What I need is something practical but also something I enjoy driving because I do love cars and I love “my” car, whatever car that ends up being. This time, I am really trying to be practical and smart in my decision and not lease something without thinking about how much a high monthly payment will hurt after the excitement is over.

I agree…a lot of cars are nice when they are new. But at month 18 and beyond are you still going to enjoy it and be ok with the payment.

I’ve known a couple of people who leased (I assume) a Land Rover. They didn’t lease a 2nd one… But, of course, YMMV.

Have you looked at a Tucson hybrid? The interior might have more of the digital look you like, and they’re supposed to drive decently. Or maybe a Honda CR-V hybrid? A bit more spartan, but the interior of the upper trims seems nice enough.

I live in MI and have made the MI-VA and back drive 5-6 times last year. The last thing you want is to break down in a land rover in the PA mountains. I know they’ve allegedly gotten better, and some people swear by them, but my '23 Defender took a shit out of nowhere, and spent 3+ months in the shop. My FIL had an entire fleet of discoveries, freelanders, etc. He couldn’t park them in the garage anymore because of the constant oil and fluid leaks. Just speaking from personal experience

Oh? So we have the same “commute”. Good to know, I can’t afford one anyway!

Such a shame too…the defenders look so dope imo

I loved it so much that I’d get another if the prices come down to earth, problems aside
