I booked online for MME Select 36 months / 12000 miles using X plan and was quoted $279. But when I went in, price jumped to $321. Dealer said it is because registration wasn’t calculated properly and that I won’t be paying anything till after 30 days (so 35 payments instead of 36).
Does this sound right? Is this a good deal?
The 30 days until payment is not quite true since you are making your first payment the day you sign the lease. Dealer may just be rolling it into the deal. He has also rolled acquisition fee and registration into the monthly payment. That seems high for a registration fee, so I assume it also includes some taxes. How much of a discount are you getting off MSRP? It looks like you are paying full MSRP or is that he X plan price? That payment seems high considering you are apparently putting down $4K as part of trade allowance.

I understand registration fee is higher in NJ for EVs, although I am not sure if the amount they have put is appropriate.
