Deal check: Lexus RX450h+ 2024

Deal check please:
2024 Lexus RX 450h+
36/10
MSRP: $76,770
Rebate: $7,500
DAS: $5,300
Monthly payment incl tax and fees: $976
Tax rate: 9.5%

Will probably buy it out if we don’t notice any issues with the 12v battery in the first month.

Ok deal? Very limited inventory. Dealer has one car in stock and they’re trying to trade it with another dealership for the color that we want. If they can get it, we might sign today.

If you will probably buy out, the only thing that really matters is the dealer discount (which isn’t listed in your post).

$3000 dealer discount
$7500 rebate
Adjusted cap cost $64,741

One CA broker is offering dealer discount of $4.5K off MSRP and no broker fee. You can look in the Marketplace for his thread.

Have you looked at the RX 350h model? I have a NX 350h, which has the same powertrain as the RX 350h. It has been a great car. I initially looked at the NX 450h+, which has the same powertrain as the RX 450h+. As you mentioned, there have been many reports of 12v battery problems on the plug in hybrid models.

The 350h models do not appear to have similar issues. Plus, unless you have solar power or can charge cheaply at work, the 350h models actually cost less to drive per mile than the 450h+ models. Since there would not have been any savings on the operating costs, I decided that the 350h model made more sense. I like it so much that I just bought a second 350h for my wife.

What have the problems been? (genuine question)

I am dong a dealer discount of $6,000, offering free delivery, and have a decent amount of stock left  call / text 949 - 232 - 4468

Many folks have reported that the 12v battery is failing frequently. Here is a recent thread from Reddit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Lexus/comments/1cuyxbf/phev_450h_12v_battery_issues_any_updates_on/

There are many discussions about this issue on Club Lexus. Some folks believe it is an issue with the plug in charging system. They believe the system somehow pulls current from the 12 volt battery, when the car is plugged in but not charging.

So I decided to take it, didn’t feel like talking to more people and the color seemed hard to get. :grimacing: Thank you for all the offers I will use one of you next time. Finger crossed no battery issue. I will report back if there is!
