Deal Check - Lease 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited RWD

Greetings all!

I’m new to leasing (really new to getting a new car at all.. I’ve always had used ones) and would like some input. I’ve reached out to a local dealer in Arkansas and tried to collect all of the relevant info.

List Price: $56,040
Selling Price: $41,790.00
Residual: .54%
Service and Handling Fee: $129
Term: 36 months 12k miles per year
Down Payment: 0
Monthly Payment: $631-$663
Money Factor: .00253
Amount Financed: $129

They did add GAP insurance onto one of the proposals but I forgot to download it and it expired so I don’t have the GAP premium handy.

I have not asked for a One-Pay Lease proposal yet but I think I probably will after reading Leasehackr.

I’m also open to investigating a 24 month lease and looking more closely at the SEL trim if this just turns out to be not a good deal or too expensive. I’d definitely like to get that monthly lower given the $200 EV yearly charge in Arkansas plus the potential $250 Federal one. I was already pretty surprised at these offers since the Hyundai USA website says a Limited can be available for lease for $299/month on a 24 month lease with $4,000 down and the $7,500 EV lease bonus.

Thanks!

I’d check out marketplace to see what brokers are able to get for this car. Some of the recent posts have them at $299/month for 24 months in the limited trim. Either work with a broker to get what you’re looking for or do your research to determine what a good deal is and then make that offer.

If you reach out to a dealer to ask for a price, you’re going to get a bad deal like this one.
