Deal Check - Kia Telluride

I already know Tellurides don’t lease well but this is the best I’ve been offered. Looking for feedback from others:

2024 Kia Telluride SX (White exterior/Gray Interior)
MSRP: $49,875
Purchase Price: $49,917
DAS: $4,052
Residual: $35,411
MF: 0.002850
$616/month, 39 months, 10k/year

Since day one, the better play has been to buy one.

Not that it matters, but is there a typo in here somewhere?

The usual math, you’re paying $28k to lease a $49k Kia for 3 years then give it back.

No idea whether this would be considered a decent deal or not on a Telluride, but when you do find a decent deal, just buy it.

Broker in Marketplace had $2,000 off a few days ago.

Someone else has $4,000 off Pilot which isn’t bad either.

$716+ a month for a Kia??? Hard pass. Kia Boyz have made insurance on any Kia a nightmare.

If you are set on a Telluride, there are brokers on marketplace selling them for under sticker.

What’s included included in the $4,052 Due AT Signing?

Jim has/had one for $1750-2000 off

This is what was listed on the sheet dealer showed me. He said there’s a small mark up on the MSRP. Doesn’t make sense to me either.

I did take a look but even with $2k off the monthly, DAS and broker fee made this deal more appealing.

DAS includes taxes, DMV, dealer and bank fee

What doesn’t make sense? The fact that the dealer is marking up the car? It is pure economics. As a prospective customer, you can always take your business somewhere else.

Brokers can’t change how banks structure poor leases with low RV and/or high MF.

You’re just throwing money away by leasing it.
