Deal Check - Kia Telluride SX [NY]

, ,

Hi, all - first time lease and hoping for a sanity check. I know the advice is going to be “don’t lease a Telluride” but my wife is set on it, and I’m hoping in 3 years we’ll be able to downsize to a smaller SUV. Further complicating things is that we need the SX, which is one of the toughest trims to track down, as we need a bench seat in the second row.

MSRP: $50,750

10k miles, 36 months

Monthly payment: $589 (incl. tax)

Due at signing, incl. first month payment and other fees: $3800

I’ve shopped around and this is the best offer I’ve been able to get for myself. Hoping to hear that it’s good enough to take.

I’m confused as to how this strategy (lease a Telluride, return it at the end and lease something else) would save you money vs just continuing to own the Telluride.

A lot of numbers missing to evaluate the deal even if you’re set on leasing. SX breaks into 4 subtrims (X-Line, Prestige, Pro, and some other jumble of those same modifiers) some are FWD some AWD. Mileage? Residual and MF? Incentives/addons? Is this an instate dealer?

An SX AWD between 50-51k I see ~40 nationwide, wondering how many dealers or is this the one in East Meadow?

How does the dealer’s offer match up to your own calculations for the same vehicle?
