Youre missing a bunch of fees from your calc.
24 month programs tend to be better on these
yeah, I’ve done this to many times…i left off the dealer fee 587.43 and some tag and lien fee of $11. I reposted the corrected
The 24 months is $612.49
Thats what it should be or what the dealer is saying it is?
what the dealer is saying in should be
So what should it actually be?
the discount is the same, the things that have changed for the 24/12k is the residual at 63%, the rebates are more at $11200
Looks likd it got cheaper
There math doesn’t appear to be mathing, which suggests a hidden markup throwing things off.
Theyre showing the same tax in both leases. Is this dealer in TX?
The dealer is in Missouri and I’m in OK. The taxes are based on buyer location, correct?
should the taxes be on the residual value minus the cost of the car? I think they are calculating this incorrectly
OK should be on the monthly payment. Theyre definitely doing taxes incorrrctly, which is skewing the numbers on their site.
ok, thanks for the sanity check…
one last thing I’m trying to understand…
I think I answered my own question, the discounts, the fees and tax are what makes up the gross capitalized cost. then they take the other incentives off to get to the final number.
Their capitalized costs shown are irrelevant since thry include incorrect taxes
the dealer came back with new numbers…It looks like the taxes have been adjusted but they have increased the MF/APR to maybe 3.24% from 2.21% which I originally found on Edmunds based on the zip code. Thoughts?
Taxes should be based on where the vehicle is going to be registered. It sounds like they marked up the MF, maybe after figuring out you were not local.
