Deal Check - Kia EV6 Wind w/tech AWD Lease Check

,

Hello,

Never leased before. In WA. I have a counter from another dealer for $599 instead of the $645. Even the $599 still seems high from posts I’ve seen, but don’t have many WA examples. Help?

These should help. Quick advice would be to run the numbers on the calculator to know what the payments should be like. Also leasing a vehicle that actually leases well (hackable) should be the way to go. If it is too overwhelming, going through the brokers would be easier.

You don’t need WA examples. You need to be making offers based on your own calculation.

Post your best attempt at the LH calculator for your target deal.

This isn’t a $700 a month vehicle.

Or a $600 a month vehicle.

Some research suggestions:

For starters, look at deals in other states if necessary to see what the prevailing discount should be. This is only 2%.

Can you swing a one-pay? How much would that save vs. a monthly lease, using a more competitive, market-based dealer discount (as you determine above)?

Is 36 months the best term for this car?

Are there figures missing from the deal sheet? I’m skeptical because 1) you’re dealing with a Kia dealer, and 2) the table on the left suggests nothing paid upfront, yet the table on the right shows $1,500 paid by customer.

[Could just be the actual difference between CCR and DAS, but it’s hard to say.]

Here is my attempt with the LH calculator. Comes out to $515 which is significantly lower then the $599 and $645 I was offered.

I was able to get it within 1k total cost by using the Zero Drive Off field. Thanks all.

Why would that discount be your target?

It is not, I wanted to replicate what I was offered. I got it close with this CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

What do you believe would be a good target?

Forget about what you were offered. It’s irrelevant.

I put it this way because few of us carry this info around in our head for every make and model available in the US.

EV6s were way cheaper than what you were offered, last I checked

Target should be 10% off MSRP and buy rate on the MF, I’ve messed around with the numbers on these and 24mo one pay is the way to go. 10% off could get you around $7600, find one with the extra $600 for select vins and might be around $7000. Your biggest problem is probably inventory, within 100 miles of Seattle Cargurus only showing 41 AWD Winds and 31 Light and Longs. Light and Long will save a few bucks too. Maybe towards the end of the month some dealers will want to hit some numbers or might be scared to carry over any EV’s with unknow tax incentive changes.

Thank you! That is incredibly helpful and what I was looking for. I’m now planning on waiting until later in the month to see if there is still inventory for what I’m interested in and see if there is more room to negotiate with it being end of the month and rebates potentially going away.
