Deal check: Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL RWD - 13/10 $3650

,

California
I am new to leasing. Is $3650 a good deal for an Ioniq 5 SEL RWD. This includes the conquest competitive vehicle offer + all the taxes and fees. I don’t have the number details since this is all that’s given to me. One pay.

Apparently taxes account for about $1700 of the overall price which all seems wrong to me. But apparently you have to pay taxes on the 15k rebate. Scam or not? Should I run?

That is correct.

Just did a quick look at broker postings and only see 1 that would be less (if still available) all of the others with broker fee end up close to that amount ± 100-200

Welcome to CA where registration is $800 and taxes are similar but at least you dont pay 1100 for doc fee like in Florida

1100 doc fee woah!!!
I also read somewhere that practically this is more like a 12 month lease so you avoid paying the registration on the 13th month.
California is just so broken with taxes :slightly_frowning_face:

@Florence_Chan I signed on Monday and got two $3500 offers for 13 months / 10k. Could have maybe gone a little bit lower but I was happy enough to take it. So $3650 is certainly not bad but if you sent this to another dealer, chances are they might beat it.

Is this Southern California or Northern? Thanks. Best I’ve seen in Northern is $5500 which is not that great.

@solejean mine was bay area
