Deal Check: Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL in NorCal

I’m new to leasing so I don’t really know what I’m trying to negotiate. I went to San Leandro today and they quoted ~$5900 OTP for the Ioniq 5 on a 13 month/10k miles lease. It seems that this isn’t a good deal? Do I just keep calling around to other dealerships? Thanks!

Not a great deal. The salesperson I got at San Leandro wasn’t willing to move much at all on limited’s so I moved on, but your unlikely to get other bay area dealers to move much.

Come pickup in SoCal  949-232-4468. You’re paying more for an SEL than you’d pay for a limited with us

This wasn’t even the limited! Just the SEL

Wow and I thought the sales person who offered me a limited for 4900 was smoking crack, yours is an SEL?

Have anything for 24 or 36 @ 10k? Limited

a 24 triples the price and a 36 should quadruple it. 24/36 are not on firesale like the 13 is.

Yep. The guy was being very cagey with the price. I didn’t even get an info sheet like others have here. Will keep searching.

Keep searching for what? You have been offered a great deal in SoCal for a higher trim vehicle at a better price. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

For the life of me I can’t figure out why NoCal and SoCal seem like different countries…

Definitely considering, it’s just a bit annoying to use 1000 miles on getting it here and back.

1000? LA to San Leandro is 400 miles or less depending on where exactly

I know someone who’s driving in an 5 from LA to Sonoma just for a car meetup. So it’s doable even on an EV

I meant with the return factored in as well. Dublin seems to have a good deal but expires Sunday.

Drastically different supply and demand

You can return at a closer local dealer.
