[Deal Check] Ioniq 5 Limited RWD $725
Hello hackers! First time leaser looking for some feedback on this deal.
I tried to replicate this in the calculator but the numbers don’t seem to match for 0 down. Am I entering something incorrectly?
I say go for the 30k down, and get 223 a month back what a deal! Lol
In all seriousness- you may be missing some other government fees/taxes (license, tag etc) and perhaps a dealer fee. Also the money factor could be jacked up from what you have in the calculator.
Hard pass.

I couldn’t find any deals listed for the norcal area. Have you seen any that are far better than the above quote?
Terrible deal. First piece of advice is to forget buying the car in NorCal. All of the dealers here are used to incompetent buyers walking in and paying way too much for any car. I pay just under what you are with similar terms for the AWD version, which has an MSRP of about $4k extra. Call SoCal dealers, they’ll give you way better deals.
If you’re in Cali don’t forget about the state rebates such as cvrb rebate (usually $2500) and check your electricity company for rebates also.
I would specifically ask about what the MF is and then kindly say you know that’s not the lowest rate. More than likely that is the marked up MF. I would never quote someone the “buy rate” when selling a car. Always marked up unless you absolutely had to in order to make a deal.
But once someone knows it, you kind of have to give it to them unless we were taking a front end loser deal as it wouldn’t be a smart sale from the dealers end.
CVRP doesn’t exist until funds get replenished, so it’s not wise to rely on it.
What is the MF on your lease? I keep hearing about better deals and even reached out to a couple of brokers from the marketplace but none of them seem to be wildly better than this.
My lease was with last month programs. However, while the MF this month increased quite a bit, so did the residual and it seems like monthly payment is the same for leasing. I got just over $3600 off msrp and base mf. For you, if you can snag a similar MSRP discount and base MF, you would be getting a good deal.
Thanks! Is the MF shown on Leasehackr calculator the base MF?
I am not a super supporter, so I have no idea, but edmunds should have it.
Thanks I checked edmunds and the MF for 36months/12k is 0.00377
I have been trying the same from SF Bay Area dealerships too… Getting crazy pricing like $750 per month for 12k/24months with 2000 DAS for Limited trims Ioniq5. I guess we will have to go to SoCal as they have better/aggressive pricing on Ioniqs and EV6s.
Just curious, Which dealer did you try getting quotes from so far. I tried Dublin Hyundai and Platinum Hyundai of Tracy.
Found another deal with a higher dealer discount but for Limited AWD. Any thoughts?
I have tried Stevens Creek and Capitol! No luck there, The folks at Stevens Creek don’t even know what a one pay lease is.
I am sure they do know that… haha.
Just that they know, if 1 person like us leaves the dealership, 3-4 more will come and buy/lease the car without any negotiation.
This is good for Limited AWD. Its a bit higher than what I paid, but negligible. Do you want the AWD though?
Tracy Hyundai can’t negotiate any good discount and Dublin Hyundai are a bunch of clowns who advertise a big discount and bump the MF
Try Dublin and San leandro. I had better luck with them.
DGDG dealerships are idiots and hard to work with (but I eventually got them down as well, just took a lot of effort). Stevens creek was ok.
Your best bet is calling, and asking to talk to the manager. Be firm and tell them where you want to be. No back and forth. A lot of times, these guys are interested in selling the car TODAY, and not tomorrow. With these Hyundai guys, I had better luck leveraging this as I told them you give me this price, I’ll sign within 30 mins and this worked for me, YMMV. Good luck
San Leandro is useless and so is Dublin. And never go in person to dublin. They give you the shittiest of the deals and think that you won’t walk because you’re there in person.
