DEAL CHECK - Hyundai Elantra SE $325/mo - First monthly DAS

Looking to get a friend a deal on a lease. He’s pretty flexible on options, could do with a sedan, SUV, whatever. No preferences on gas/hybrids, just can’t get an EV.

Trying to get him a cheap lease, wants to be in the $200s but no luck.

Texas is hard without knowing any info on tax credits.

I don’t know how honest the salesperson is but apparently this sales price is $250 above invoice on this barebones no option Elantra SE

Any insight/suggestions?

How does your friend benefit from spending $13,000+ to rent a $22,000 Elantra for 3 years, return it and then lease again?

The unspoken assumption here is that any lease can be hacked and that’s just not true.

A hacked lease is a great way to save money and an unhacked lease is a great way to waste money.

I think it will be better to finance the car and sell it at any time in the future. TX full sales tax doesn’t help at all.
Right now, i see 1.99% for 60 months for elentra on the Hyundai website. The lease is at 5.88% based on your calculator.
The LH calculator offers a finance calculator and comparison between lease and finance.

This is a car you buy, not lease

well said, Elantra simply isn’t worth to lease
