After a fair bit of negotiating and a few quotes this seems like a good deal to me (recognizing Genesis overall doesn’t lease the best) but curious for community feedback. See link below.

$4k down + fees/taxes (NY so tax upfront)

Two questions for you @jzauderer:

  1. Why are you putting $4k down?
  2. Based on the other deals that you’ve seen signed on this vehicle, is a 2.53% discount competitive?

Another dealer told me straight up they’d lose money at this level and walked away, for this specific car not sure how it could be so bad?

  1. Recognize not best decision, helped in negotiation.
  2. If think of it this way it’s really a 10% discount off of MSRP, in the link I posted I changed the MF to get the monthly payment to match the offer. If hold MF at 0.0025, 10% discount seems pretty strong no? See below. As noted above, another dealer walked on this deal as said didn’t believe it and would lose money at this level.

I don’t think you’re going to get much validation from the community on this deal, as is.

And since there’s no signed deals that I’m aware of, there’s no benchmark either.

How does this compare to what you can get using the genesis brokers in your region?

Like @max_g suggested…this is a tough brand to validate within this community as the Genesis brand (especially the GV80 or G90) doesn’t lease well based on LH expectations. I’m not sure how many Genesis dealers are within a 150-200 mile radius of you, but since your post was asking for feedback, I think it was silly to put the 4K down and I think you should have been more aggressive with other dealers.
