Deal Check: Genesis GV70 Electrified (NC)

Hi everyone,

Hoping to get some input on a deal. I’m in North Carolina, I’m a vet with 750+ credit, and this will be my first time leasing a vehicle.

I wanted the Lexus RX 450 but could not find anything besides the base model 350. I landed on the GV70 electrified as its base has everything I wanted in the RX, but at a lower price point. However, now opting to upgrade to the Prestige. This car is primarily for school, I’m a full-time student, so no work commute. I don’t really drive much, and the 12k should be plenty for me. My priorities were the tech/safety systems, drive assist, and smart parking in a luxury package.

I reached out to my closest dealer specifying 0 DAS. They sent over the following deal first, which does not include the military 500 off.

I then asked to remove the care package, if MF had a markup, and for an 8 percent discount vs the 3.34 they offered. The following is their reply. The rep said the MF is set by Genesis and can not be adjusted, same with the doc fee, which seems to be the norm.I don’t think it’s a bad deal, but I want to try to shop for <750 effective monthly. Would appreciate any input, thank you. Apologies if I missed any relevant info.

Leasemax standard offer/free report

Leasehackr cal of first offer:

Well the first car has less discounts and has addons.

So the second?

I edited the post, the first is initial offer, the next is their follow up. I know the second is better, I’m checking the overall deal, to see if I can reasonably expect better.

Looks pretty good, discount seems to get close to brokers.

One broker has 8% off but no EVs so maybe thats your goal 8%

100 percent, they said that was pretty steep and they would check. The second image was the follow up, 5.7 percent but no 8.

As defined by MSRP? That’s not really the basis for looking at which cars to lease.

Or as defined by a lower lease payment? Again that’s not really here nor there since Lexus leases suck.

If you want the most bang for your buck then look at what’s leasing well in the Marketplace

Not sure what you’re trying to say, but maybe your priorities are different from mine. I wanted a car for a certain price with certain features. So I picked the one I wanted. And got it for 722 effective monthly, 0 down.
