Deal Check, GA: 2024 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss

Looking for thoughts on this truck in Atlanta, GA.

Went to the dealership, discussed terms based on the Chevy website calculator, which showed $732 a month plus ~1700 due at signing. Was told the tax on their site wasn’t right and they could do this number ($762.72) with taxes etc rolled in, 0 DAS. Costco member, leasing a 2019 or newever non-Chevy vehicle for $2500 in incentives.

Get into the finance office and they tell me it’s $1800 DAS for taxes and fees. I left and said I need to think about it.

Two questions:

  1. Am I reading this wrong and they were correct that there is about $1800 DAS?
  2. Is this a good deal either way?

Deal sheet and screenshot of calculator attached.

Thank you for your help!

Absolutely not. You owe nothing at signing. Here’s why…

Lease Inception Fees

CCR 1623.63
CCR Tax @7.00% 113.65
1st. Payment 762.72
TOTAL 2500.00
Rebate/Credits 2500.00
DAS 0.00

Don’t know. You have an 8000 discount (11.4%). Is that the dealer discount before any dealer incentives? You may want to look at selling prices in the LH marketplace for your region.

FYI-

MSRP 70435.00
Sell Price 62435.00
Doc Fee 699.00
GWRALL Fee 3.00
Title/License Fee 44.00
GA- TAVT- Tax 1252.14
Gross Cap 64433.14
CCR 1623.63
Adj Cap (AC) 62809.51
RV (62%) 43669.70
Term 36
MF .00217
Sales Tax Rate 7.00%

Monthly Payment = MF x (AC + RV) + (AC - RV)/Term
= 762.72
.
GA TAVT Tax is computed based on depreciation. Tax Rate x (AC - RV)
However, the AC already includes this tax (1252.14) as it was capitalized and so, it must be deducted from the AC as though it wasn’t capped to begin with.
AC - TAVT Tax = 62809.51 - 1252.14
= 61557.37

GA TAVT- Tax = 7% x (61557.37 - 43669.70)
= 1252.14

Thank you! I thought I was going a little crazy. Finance dept at Dealership got a bit heated with me when I pushed back.

The $8000 is what the dealer offered off MSRP before Costco and Conquest incentives. I’m going to reach out to some brokers and keep an eye on the marketplace in my region, but that 11% discount seems to be pretty competitive.

I was actually referring to manufacturer to dealer incentives which can be a delicate issue with dealer. But if you feel comfortable with an 11% discount, then by all means. Good luck!

To be honest, I’m not sure about where the deal worked out with manufacturer to dealer incentives.

I’ll do some more research and see if they come back to me. Thank you for the help.

Sure thing. Happy to help.
